My personality would be best summarized by Bruno Mars' "Billionaire" tune. But I will have gained by billions by owning, operating, and pouring my life into a Nonprofit organization that educates people about everything including a love of self and a love of others.

Please enjoy my hodgepodge blog.

Sedmikrásky, Věra Chytilová (1966)

This film is an imperfect masterpiece of the Czech New Wave which could best be described as a feminist, psychedelic surreal Eastern European answer to Howard Hawks ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’. Two girls, both named Marie, decide that since the world is spoiled they will be spoiled as well; accordingly they embark on a series of destructive pranks in which they consume and destroy the world about them. Chytilová captures a sense of unadulterated feminine energy and an insane, dadaist, and anarchist attack on establishment and those who oppose it. There is little wonder to why the Czech government had this film banned.

Said to be one of the most exhilarating stylistic and psychedelic eruptions of the ’60s thanks to the eye-popping cinematography and editing of Jaroslav Kucera and Miroslav Hájek, who respectively, present a dazzling array of color, super-quick cutting, and strong close-ups that envelop the viewer in the detail of the moment.

Hopefully this clip I made inspires you to check it out.

Hi, there.
I’m wearing a shirt that reads “Kill Me”.
If you saw me at a party or on the street would you promptly murder me?
What about if I had a few drinks? What if I was walking alone at night?
I’m guessing that you wouldn’t if you’re a sane individual.

The cops wouldn’t overlook your crime because of what I’m wearing because that’s silly. I wasn’t literally asking for you to kill me based on my choice of clothing. Who would take that defense seriously?

My friends wouldn’t blame me for being murdered and my killer would be behind bars almost instantly.

So, why is it okay to rape someone because they’re wearing revealing clothes? Why does THEIR choice of clothing excuse THEIR attacker?

It doesn’t. You’re silly if you think otherwise.
The less guilt on the attacker. The more guilt on victim.

Stop. Victim. Blaming.

Reblogging this again because it’s perfect.
